Into knoydart for 4 days from monday and aiming to get back to the car at Loch Quoich via Glen Barrisdale and the headland of Leac na Fearna.Does anybody know of a crossing point  of the river at around grid ref 9803037 to get back onto the road?

Interesting as I am heading to Slat Bheinn tomorrow but going over the Corbett Sgurr nan Eugallt and hoping to camp somewhere between these two hills.

As for Leac na Fearna it is fairly rough going. On my first ascent of Ben Aden we crossed over the east side of Sron Lice na Fearna rather than walk along the edge of Loch Quoich but on the return we had to stay at the waters edge.  Near the easterly point there was an old vehicle track probably connected to the track on the south side of the Loch before it was damed.

Just keep going round the edge of the headland until the Loch Hourn road appears close to the north side of the stream and you will find a suitable crossing point.  I think there was a metal beam across the stream but if it stays dry as the forecast says I doubt if you need it.

 Enjoy the trip

I walked that way a couple of weeks ago. That NW arm of the loch was was actually drained dry then and the path/deer track around the LnF headland leads naturally onto an old formerly submerged road which crosses the loch bed which is quite interesting. You still have to cross the river running into the loch because the bridge is gone but that was an easy paddle.
