Has anyone out there been through the IML  scheme or knows about the registration process.I've sent my 50 pounds, reams of QMD's and other relevant paper work but hav'nt heard from MLTUK for weeks now.I'm a little worried that my referee is'nt suitable. He is a long time climbing/trekking partner and may I add a newspaper editor, but he dos'nt have any mountaineering qualifcations. As I don't know any guides pesonally,I thought he would be the best option.I would be most grateful if some one could shed some light on the matter..........cheers...Mark

Suggest you contact MLTUK directly.  They are normally pretty quick at handling registrations.  If necessary, use the number from the BAIML site to reach Sue Doyle at Siabod Cottage - she handles the IML.

Good to hear that, Mark.  Any thing you'd like to ask about with respect to the IML, you can message me (I might not know but I'll know someone who does!), or alternatively the MLTA and BAIML Forums.  Gareth Digges la Touche is the membership secretary of BAIML and monitors the MLTA site as well.  All the best with your progress through the IML!
