I think you were right Trevor, but that puts the load per person from 1.5 Kg to 2 Kg when #4 leaves, which isn't reallya deal-breaker and leaves more space for everyone else, so it's not like the extra 500g for person has no upside.

Whatever you finally decide to choose for tents here for this trip, it is always worth watching the Field and Trek tent reductions to see what's currently going out at a good price. Keep one eye open on the OM forum bargains thread too maybe!
