as a "newbie" to this site i can, most of the time, understand what you are talking about, but what is a "zombie" thread? why does parky again have a pic of what looks like "posh" ( when i started, i thought it was a pic of self.)        still trying to upload my own pic, but can't seem to get any to go underr the 12kb limit. H

Qestions, questions, questions!

Let's see if I can help out in providing some answers for you maybe here then!

A 'zombie' thread, so called, is one that is a very old thread - possibly as old as six years or more, even going right back to when the website forum here began. If that old thread is 'resurrected' or brought back to life anew by someone then posting on it in the modern time, then it is termed by the forum regulars as a 'zombie' thread, you see!I'm a big one of lately for catching people out by bringing back threads like this for no apparent reason, except to see if anyone notices the date of the first thread! Sometimes too though, I will only do that if I think it is actually a good or funny or entertaining thread, or one which has still much of interest and instruction to offer folks reading it. No point then in bringing back to life a thread of an old hill meet, whichb is definitely long since passed into the mists and annals of time!

Parky's photo 'avatar' id picture on the forum site here changes much over the years, but right now I can confirm that he is not in fact using a picture of the Spice girl in question! Rather that is a pcture of his lovely beloved other half, the Angel, as Parky himself likes to call here. She certainly, a lot of us here too feel, looks most angelic looking too of course though anyways. He actually apparently possesses rather rugged film star good looks himself though as well, of course!Or so he told us to all say on here!

lol trevor.

a zombie thread, as trevor explains, is just an old thread that has been ressurected to lurch around trying to scare us.

i use irfanview to smash pictures down to a small size if necessary. the Angel ------>

has been so diminished in size this way. mm! perhaps it's time to return to my real self.

cheers all. parky i can see why you call her angel, and going by pic seems to like the outdoors to. you lucky bloke!

lol. the outdoors in question was lounging by a pool on holiday and is about her limit. she has now been relegated back to the hard disk and another family member will appear.

sounds a bit like my missus, she takes more stuff to vist her mum overnight than i take for a fortnight's backpacking, including food!!    the last time we went on holiday, to stay with-in the weight limit, after packing her stuff, i had the huge amount of 2.5kgs left to pack what i wanted! not quite UL more Heavy Weight.

Parky, we all really liked the black and white picture of you, with 'the beard', that you had in use earlier on this year as your avatar on here, you know! It made you look most distinguished I felt, did that shot, and even my cat seemed to like looking at it too!
