 and it's still an absolute pig to try and sign in. especially aggravated by the feckin advert that will cover the sign in box if you're not careful.
i use the IE version at work. i would imagine huge numbers of viewers of the site do to. ok to view but feckin verging on the impossible to contribute.
how may people just go elsewhere - witness the pain in the arse lfto site - during their hour off in the middle of the day.
additionally, this site still dumps unpleasant files to disc which disables other work sites i have to use i.e. external compliant industry wide working business sites.
i'm smart enough, generally, to work round this. just how many others aren't. it's only because i can work round it that i can view the om site at work at all without it crippling proper work.
if it persists in blocking proper work sites then it won't take long for the om site to hit the banned list in corporate systems.
the upgrade has done something somewhere.

I have a couple of minor dislikes about the new site, but this is intended to be constructive  - On the main page, the list of recent articles, reviews etc. is much smaller than it used to be, and I find it harder to spot things of interest. The old layout may not have looked as 'nice' but seemed clearer to me.
- The reviews linked from the home page wind me up Take the "Oprey Manta 25 Review" that is there at the moment. I think "Let's read the review" so I click on the link. There's no review, just a brief summary
 OK, so I'll click on "Read the full review." in order to, well, read the full review. Again, I don't see the review, just 4 lines of introduction - another summary page I have to click on yet another link in order to see the actual review! Why do I have to find and click on 3 separate links to see what should have turned up when I clicked on the first one?
¿¿¡ minor dislikes????? Four pages to read one review?? ......... please.... this page was my one of my favourites......... I´m really deceptioned whit the redesign ...........

4 clicks to read a review from the main page...including two summary pages it increases the number of page views & advert exposure which is good for someone, but i won't be doing it again if i can help it!

In which case, the number of page views won't be increased... People won't bother posting reviews, so the site degrades even further...

 I agree, it is incredibly annoying. I say we boycott reading the reviews until getting to them is made easier!

tbh i gave up a couple of years ago trying to get new stuff put on or my review tally would be considerably higher. requests just disappeared into the ether.

I did worry this was just me, until I read this thread before posting my rant! I find the new layout very hard to use - new additions seem to be much less obvious, and then very frustating to actual get to - I don't think I have made it through to a review since the changes. For me everything apart from the forum is now off limits.
