I've had an email from Craghoppers today, telling me there is another 10% off offer at their online store there right now, 'for a limited time'. It appears this time the 10% off is taken away at checkout of online basket though, as there is no code details given in the email I see. I wonder if the 10% off offer now covers the already reduced clearance goods too, as might be it does, which would make for some extra special good savings to be had in that case possibly? www.craghoppers.com
Greenman Bushcraft's online store has some fantastic offers on right now too in their site's bargain basement section; all especially of interest to the growing number of bushcraft and survival outdoors activities fans amongst our number here. www.greenmanbushcraft.co.uk

Trev, I've also had that e-mail. The code is CE11 for 10% off.

Thanks there, Mike. You must have a later ammended Craghoppers email with the mistake corrected then quite possibly, as there is definitely no code listed on my email, quite oddly. I looked specifically for one but saw not a thing there!

I just ordered today a High Gear Trangia style cookset copy. It was just £12.00, plus £4.95 postage and packing I think. I believe the original price was a bit over £24.00 quid, if anyone else is at all interested in getting one for themselves too! The company is www.outdoorworld.co.uk which is by the way exactly the same company as the www.worldoftents.co.uk it seems to be to me! Their websites are remarkably similar anyway, right down to them both offering an exactly identical half price offers sale range, both of course featurng this nice High Gear Trangia style cookset item in question here, for the same remarkably low price.
NB - A good few companies do tend to trade online under a couple of different names or more simultaneously, as similarly do the outdoors stores Gearzone.co.uk and Venturesport.co.uk; who both share mightily similar product catalogue ranges that seem to operate jointly from the same warehouse premises too. So this type of a thing is not exactly uncommon nowadays.

That sure does seem to be a great offer of that Hi Gear Trangia stove type copy here above then, that I spotted the other day whilst surfing online. They are selling those stoves too still at another place online for £29.99, I noticed just late yesterday!

Argos Autumn sale ends this tuesday the 14th October it seems! So that will likely be the last opportunity for folks that wanted one to get the haf price offer on that Pro Action orange Tiger Paws style one-man backpacking tent there in the sale. It is a very good tent indeed for the price there, a lot of us on here still do feel! - Short link only supplied here, as it was one of those really massive links this one was!

I'm confused by the specs (or is it the beer). How can the overall length of the tent be 300cm, yet each room is 290cm?
Either one room is 10cm long, or the tent is nearly 6m long, or I'm too drunk to spot the obvious. Size of overall tent (H)105, (W)120, (L)300cm. Size of each room 110 x 290cm. Size of living space 110 x 290cm. Height at highest point 100cm.

Julian - could it be that it has only the one 'room'? Ah ha! Problem solved.

But if there is only one room, that porch are is a whole 10cm..... doesn't look or sound right. Or does the interior opening go diagionally?

Doesn't seem to have much of a porch

No, I have one of these tents - mine is one of the last season's green version ones though - and I largely concur with this other Argos customer's review here below too.
A 'Nick' from Bristol wrote '"At 2kg this is hardly a "lite" one person tent. But it does pack down quite small and I could sit up in it (I am 5' 8'), which is more than can be said for a lot of the true lightweight two-skin tents on the market. I found the mesh panels very good at keeping condensation out of the inner tent, but you will have to be careful when removing the fly-sheet as this where all of the condensation ends up. The small "porch" area is just big enough for a day-sack and a pair of boots, although there is just enough room inside the tent to bring these in with you if you need the room to cook. It was also very easy to pitch, I didn't even need the instructions. I think if Argos could get the manufacturers to use a lighter nylon for the floor and fly-sheet they would have a winner on their hands. Oh, and maybe a more subdued colour scheme next time too ."

Yes, as with a lot of tents there is but one room, and as you can see from the illustration there that Bill's kindly supplied, the inner opening does run diagonally too, if you want to put it like that. A very good little tent indeed for the money there! And one that has generated a good few threads of praise on here from a lot of the forum regulars too I might add.
