Any reason why you didn't get Conformables? Or Sorbothane? Altberg sell these makes and recommended Conformables when I bought my boots from them. I confess, I am still wearing my boots in the house so cannot comment on the performance of Conformables but bimbling up my back stairs, they seem comfortable enough.

I tried them. OK 'til eldest son spilled white spirit over them. They didn't like that. Sorbothanes are bloody 'orrible. Blue Superfeet are fine.

How much....why not a nice pair of Montrail mouldable insoles for £17ish squids????

Superfeet Blues, Greens and other colours currently still in the footwear sale at Field and Trek right now btw.

http://www.fieldandtrek.com/find.asp?src=ukwm&cat_id=SPECFOOT&pf_id=&jump=96&sfile=1  Blue, Green, Orange and Berry Superfeet insoles on offer prices here. Some Sorbothane reds there as well too reduced.

I've got a set here. They're very low profile, they take up much less space than most other aftermarket insoles.

A good compromise between the racket that is Superfeet and the cardboard excuses shipped with most footear.

ptc - which brand are they?

I'm trying to find a set of insoles which are shaped and as low profie as my pair of Karrimor insoles  (20+ yrs old) which are perect but a size too small.

So far I haven't seen anything that fits the bill so am using the ones that came with the boots

Sorry being dumb - 'they' would be sole custom then?

Thanks PTC, might give them a try

They're worth a look as they're non-corrective and the heel cup is good. One thing though, although they are low volume Haglofs are tweaking the fit of their footwesar for spring 09 so that they fit the same as before the Sole footbeds came ready installed. So there's a small difference.

So at £35 a pair I bet they significantly increase the price of the haglofs footwear !!!

Hagofs say it will actually make a minimal difference to the cost of their footwear. Even though the UK retail price is £35, it's reasonable to surmise that it won't cost Haglofs anything like that and certainly nothing like £35 at retail. I think it's great that someone is trying to provide a half-decent footbed as standard. The other brand making an effort it Brasher.

Then get some of these

I use them; better than Superfeet IMO. No idea about the 'sole' though...

I've tried those Montrail ones (without too much success), but be aware that they are VERY thick, and certainly make a difference to the fit of the boot.

Very thick?

About the same as the low volume Blue Superfeet I would say.... I guess it all depends what footwear you are putting them in maybe...

Shame, they've sold out. Can't find another selling them on google

Maybe they've changed the design? The pair I bought some time back are 6mm thick at the front (the flat part). That's way thicker than the blue Superfeet, and thicker than any other insoles I've ever tried (and I've tried a lot). It really alters the volume at the front and middle of the boot.

Mmmm puzzling; I have half an idea there are two variations, but am only 50% sure of that
