One Man's Mountains by Tom Patey is absolutely brilliant. It's mostly a collection of climbing journal articles describing major ascents - from the Old Man of Hoy to first ascents in the Himalayas - that he was involved in, but it's a lot better (and much funnier) than that makes it sound. He's particularly good describing the people he climbs with - Joe Brown, Don Whillans, Hamish MacInnes and Chris Bonnington, as well as a lot of less well known people. There's also a section of purely satirical articles and a collection of his songs.
