It seems that way, yes. Somebody posted on UKC to say that they were climbing when this poor man fell past them. I think that it is the descent route that is also in the Cicerone scrambling guides as a grade 1/2 scramble. There's a short, but very steep step and it is above a steep part of the crag. I've never managed to find that in descent and always end up wandering a lot further right (facing in) and hobbling down through the grass and heather. Poor man, condolences to his family.

We certainly seem to be losing a lot of people out in the hills these recent days don't we. Hearing of yet another unfortunate and tragic death like this is most sad indeed. Again, I'd like to echo condolences to all who knew this fellow outdoors enthusiast here, and declare that my thoughts are with you too.

my heart goes out to his family as i know exactly how they feel maybe these routes should be graded to ability and also given gradings for all weather conditions to stop this senseless loss and suffering
