Wahoo! Bring on the BBQ spare ribs and deepfried pork balls

Seriously though, not exactly news is it? Ken Hom has for years been extolling the virtues of Thai and chinese cooking methods but thats all they are, cooking methods. This article is an example of how a simple, effective but unapealling idea has to be tarted up in an attempt to get people to accept it. Why do we need a Chinese spin on the concept that taking exercise is good for you?, and eating? Low GI, low fat is a great way to stabilise blood suger levels, increase energy, lose weight, combat all sorts of conditions that are related to unhealthy eating but theres no great trick to it:

Reduce the ammount of potatoes, sweets, crisps, white bread, rice, fat, any fat meat, cheese, processed food like sausages, burgers etc you eat, Increase wholegrains, greens, pulses, fruit, fish etc, and thats it.

Bringing Ying and Yang into your kitchen?, what a crock.

BTW, what was the Peking Duck scare about? Links please Trevor.

The food safey Peking Duck scare was something happening to restaurants in London's China Town earlier on this week apparently. It featured in the teatime news local news section on BBC1.All I know for sure, was for some health reason or another the dish was banned from being prepared after a food scare of some kind there. Must have been to do with the sourcing of some of the ingredients maybe.
