New Years Eve in the Peaks?

Does anyone know of any scheduled walk/mountain hut parties etc being held New Years Eve? We'll be based in Glossop but anywhere in the Peaks will do really. Just wanted to do something other than a wild camp for two, and would rather not be crammed into a pub on the High Street.

A few years a go we camped in Edale and spent New Years Eve in 'The Rambler'  I am not sure if it is what you are looking for but it was one of the best new year celebrations I have been to.

It was ticketed - had to pay in advance and numbers were limited so it was not too busy. (this was one of the deciding factors when we were thinking of going).

There were plenty of other people camping on both camp sites, some were in the pub, some stayed on site.

I don't know of anything specifically local to Glossop quite like that, but if you do find yourself looking for a nice pub, the Globe, which is down towards the Tesco end of the High Street is far and away the nicest pub in the area with great beer and, erm, vegan bar snacks. It's also the venue for a lot of live music. Don't know if they have anything scheduled for New Year, but worth bearing in mind.

If I hear about anything that might fit the bill, I'll drop you a line

Thanks both - aye we're great fans of the Globe. We last saw Mor Karbasi sing there and her voice blew me away! I can't believe that they have performers there who have performed in top London venues just a few days before. I'll keep an eye out then for tickets at both the Globe and The Rambler.
