Another short walk starting at Pelter Bridge at Rydal. The route took us up to Loughrigg Cave where the outfall as been partially dammed to raise the water level inside (to deter people entering). We then followed the Terrace Route to Deerbolts Wood before descending down to the shore of Grasmere. A walk through Penny Rock woods took us to White Moss Common where we took a partially renovated path up tp the Corpse Road which we followed to Rydal Hall and the tearoom. A visit to the Church and a quick look in Dora's Field led us back to the car park where there was a nice surprise waiting. Pictures from the walk are now available on the webiste.
