Anyway had chance to play with Crux's new and Improved Bomb at the weekend.

First impressions are as follows:

Like's

New Guy 3 and 2 point configuration with reflective tabs (although i am not an avid follower of 3 guy lines to one peg- I'd seperate them to single pegs, reduces stress)

Velcro tabs to pole system for fly sheet.

Dislikes

Front porch entry system (don't fancy trying that with a down jacket and outer shell on looks a tad on the tight side)

No guy support on rear panel

No front guy support on porch (due to central zippered access)

No snow skirts on front porch

If I had the money again would i buy the new and improved one.........erm??? NO

You forgot the removed ventilation from rear fly panel.

Drew says he wouldnt buy the new and improved bomb if he had the money again......shocking! I'll have to sit down and have a cup of tea now....

FB, the rear vent is not really that important either way to be honest, it's great to have it I suppose but no real hardship if you have not.

Anyway it's all academic now cos the ca$h I did have for a tent i'e my failed Vango equinox 450 purchase has now been spent on sexy down kit......Mmmmmm Alpkit and RAB !!!!!

I made some enquiries re the Crux storm and the Lightwave F2 ultra and it seems that the F2 ultra is a "cut down" version of the storm.

Drew as a cruxter man, can you confirm if the poles in either the bomb or the storm are the arkitecture (prebent arch as opposed to completely curved) or the normal ones?
