Ahhhem! We did have a thread here back then though, explaining exactly why that was, with the omission of the Akto in that comparison! From the guy that did the test, or someone else from the magazine in question there, I think it was too!

So, they are watching and taking on board the constructive criticism I believe. Which at least is a good step in the right direction I think you must all surely positively agree.

I still myself though, as a regular subscriber and reader of the magazine, think that the mag needs to change a lot in presentation and contents styles though, please Trail staff! It is a bit too much of a younger persons and beginning hillwalking type mag right now a lot of the readership represented on here do honestly feel. It needs much more balance and a bit of a fresh approach to some ways you currently do things, please. We all pays our money for it after all as readers here! At the moment I really honestly do not think we are very much always sadly getting our monies worth as things do stand!

Not to say mark you that the mag isn't improving of lately though, as lots of us have agreed on here too; with a lot of better features and tips in there specifically of interest to a wider section of ages and experience levels of outdoors activities enthusiasts. We all just want and expect to see evidence of more of that same positive change now though, in future issues of the magazine please!
