No, he's staying at home to look after Paul
Besides, I'm hoping I can stay up there a couple of days one side or other of the weekend so I can do some other walks. Possibly Ben Nevis and/or I'd really like a try at Buachaille Etive Mor. And a shower afterwards - the YH's haven't filled up yet so if my plan hatches soon enough I'll book a bed for the night(s). And I get the impression that whilst he loves being outdoors scampering up a munro isn't high on his list of Great Times. Especially if there might/will be midges about.
If I dont do the Big Ben/Shepherd a major dose of adrenaline courtesy of the Ice Factor might be called for - I had an instructor's session on the ice wall last time we were up that way and it was the most brilliant/scary/frightening/awesome thing since... well you get the drift. [takes a deep breath]. So the poor chap would get in the way if I did bring him and Paul would be lonely at home.
