Mike would an army gore tex pair do do you think for putting on over dry socks in camp or for the pub where the exped bag would get funny looks? I see some petty cheap ones on fleabay.

I don't know BBF. I've never wore them. In summer i just put up with wet feet during the day. I go barefoot at night so they can dry out. If i'm camping near a pub, i carry sandals.
