15 is young, Mal, but a 'young kid' is much younger!!  But sorry to make you feel antique

Back on topic....

Anyone know if the full-length Insulmat Ether Thermo will work with one of these? Looks possible, but has anyone tried? Cheers.

That's a heavy chair kit, Kate. The 'real' chair i highlighted weighs a lot less.

Only a few grammes, Mike. And the 'real' chair's a bit big. And I certainly ain't carting a scantily clad woman around.....
The chair folds down to nothing. See the site for piccies. I've thought of getting one just to annoy people!

Yay, found what I need from the lovely BIG Agnes

Even lighter than your beer can, Mike, and not a draped woman in sight

Excellent Kate. A womans name though!

MK, if that's one of the tapered matts, it will work, but is a bit fiddly. I use my Insulmat Max Thermo with a therm-a-rest chair, just takes a bit of practice to fold the tapering bits out of the way and fill the whole chair.

Kate,

There have been a few posts on the US Backpacking Light forum suggesting short term durability issues with the Big Agnes chair thingy - not sure if they've addressed these yet.  But, if you go ahead and get one I'd be interested to hear your experience and you think they're up to the job.
