I have the Haglofs solid lite boots and think the new insoles are great once you have tried them.

Wife has a pair and they dont have them but she still thinks the boots are very comfy without them,plus they did give her a pair of brasher insoles foc when she bought them .

Why not try your new shoes with your custom made insoles and see how you get on and if they dont bond with each other try the insoles.

And there was a price increase of about £30 where i bought mine from,wifey paid £135 for hers and when i got some they had risen to £165 less discount .

Must say tho that they have been the most comfortable boots i have had on my feet from the moment i put them on!!!

The solid lites do look lovely but they're boots you know  

The escape ventilators certainly aren't cheap: - 85 vs ~65 for vairous Montrail/ Innov 8 options. Doesn't matter so much in a lot of things but shoes do of course need a lot of replacing.

I have actually been vaguely eyeing these for winter - they seemed to be wide enough fitting for me to get thick/ waterproof socks etc in.

One thing perhaps worth bearing in mind is that the uppers on some of their trails shoes look really rather durable.  Much more so than mostly mesh things at least. The trail 2's look absurdly tough but are (for me!) tragically cursed with a waterproof liner.

So if you look after them properly you may be able to resole them - the availability of suitable replacement midsoles/soles seemed unclear when I asked one of the big footwear repair folk.

They come with the standard insoles and the extra heat treatable ones,so you can use either!

Next time i wear mine im going to use one of each and see just how good they are.
