So what about nutritional content as a quick snack/lunch when you're on the move?

Ainsley Harriet does Pot Pasta - quite nice, just needs a good soaking, more like 5 min than the 2 of a noodle

I tried the "cheesy pasta" one. Ever been slightly sick in your mouth? It tasted a bit like that.

His couscous stuff's nice tho'. Easier to cook than noodles.

> Just checked and they seem to run up to about 500Kcal for the large bowl types, so you would need to supplement them, especially in colder weather.

If the nutritional information on noodles can be believed, then they're actually fairly good for calorific content, kcal/g, compared with simple pasta.  This is because they contain oil as well as carbohydrate.  So, even though a single 65g tesco's value pack of noodles may only contain 435kcal, it works out at 670kcal/100g, vs pasta, which is about 360kcal/100g. Just eat two packs of noodles.
