Why?

In the context of the thread it appeared you had received a reply from didster, then a few days later posted back that you were still looking - which suggested that you didn't want his offer; (or in this case in fact he didn't want to sell it).

Either way my asking him for more details shouldn't have been an issue for you.

Equally if I were to make a separate wanted advert then it would only succeed in pushing yours further down the board, which I would suggest doesn't really help you at all either.

I can understand your reaction if I was somehow trying to gazump you, but that clearly wasn't the case. Therefore your post seems rather redundant and rude.
