I climbed Bristly on Saturday, and remember thinking, "These rocks are pretty iced-up ... hope nobody comes to grief."

It's been put into perspective for me when I think that, only the day before the accident, I was pathfinding for a group containing two or three people who had never done any mountain walking before. Very sad news indeed.

Sad news indeed, reminds you of that thin line we all take with the risks of what we do when were out, its very easy to forget what one trip or slip can do on an exposed position.

Very sad news. Just been looking at the Ogwen Valley Rescue team site and according to that he wasn't on Bristly Ridge but was on Alphabet Slabs (unless that's a different incident of course.
