Yes which saves you carrying the book. Print off the route you wish to do and off you go.

The MTB Guide on CD costs another £7.50 on top of £14.95 for the book.

Fair enough that you don't have to buy a CD that you might not want, but I agree that it would be nice to have the option...

It sounds a bit daft not to have offered the option, then.

Just a thought may be it's to stop sharing, if you know want I mean. CD ROM, PDF, email and all that. This way they sell more books.

Hmmm. 'Sharing', I wonder if that was their experience from the MTB guides that have been around a bit longer? I ordered the Peaks guide and it's just arrived - it's well laid out and really well produced. It looks very clear. Only needs a field test now!

Seems a shame that folk would rip off Vertebrate Graphics, but I suppose that's what happens when you put temptation in front of some people.

Hi - Cheers for the review Jon! There's no CD with the guide because we didn't think there was a market for it - walkers don't tend to trash guidebooks in the same way that mountain bikers do and they also tend to be slightly less into their electronic gadgetry and more into books.

Having said, that, we could put one together fairly rapidly if there was enough demand in the future.

Tom
I think there is a market for it. Like mountain biking it's much easier to carry a copy map in a map cover and much easier to read while on the move, rather than carrying the book. By the way must complement you on the mountain bike series. Keep up the good work.

Stuff the MTB books, it's the ML and SPA books that rock.
Can't wait until the Winter Skills one to hit the shelves.

Hi Tom,

nice to 'meet' you! The Peaks book has been distracting me from work - it's great! And I was already a convert - the MLT book is a classic, a really good companion to Langmuir.

What's this about a Winter Skills book?

Also, JJ is right, there is no limit on the gear freakery here. no limit.
