Hi,

Does anyone know of any 4 season B1/B2 women's boots which come in sizes 9 or 9 1/2?

Hours of googling has only come up with the HanWag Alaska Lady GTX (B1) and the Raichle 60 Degree (? suitable for Grivel G10 or G12 with New-Matic binding - think this is B2 but not sure), both available at Peglers in a size 9.

My feet are ridiculously shallow (like a woman, as the female assistant in George Fishers told me), so I seem to need big girls boots. Preferably not in pastel colours!

Obviously I'd try before buying, but knowing in advance that there's something available would be useful. Having got into a bit of trouble on the ice in my Meindl Lady Jamaicas (!) last winter I think I need something a bit more suitable for the conditions. Thanks in advance.

I found that my "shallow" feet and "narrow" heel fitted well into Scarpa Freneys. I bought the Pro which will take a semi-clip-on like a New-Matic (C2) but won't take a full clip-on as the toe-bale groove is too shallow. Other versions have better toe-bale grooves.
The helpdesk at Scarpa said the Pro is rated B2, the others are rated B3.
BTW they're asymmetrical and fully-stiffened, so you'll either love 'em or hate 'em. I find New-Matics fit well.
The boots are OK except in summer, when they get too warm, as you would expect.
There are some good deals on Pros out there at the moment so shop around.

The Raichle 60 Degree as Far as I was aware is a B2 Boot, I have a pair of Raichle Mtn Peak GTx's and they are a nice fit, and seem good quality.

Have a look at Lowa, they're pretty low volume in my experience, think duck's feet ;-)

Or the Sportiva trango s evo is rated B1, and a good tight european fit.

Or how about Asolo?

boot fit varies and some ladies styles may be broader/hirgher volume than a blokes alternative make,
have you looked at sportiva? if you are doing scotland then trangos arent the best, for general mountain work look for glacier or lhotse.
alternatives could be asolo but i think the new shape of them is higher volume,
aku if you can find them
note i list traditional italian lasted boots as they tend to be lower volume than german meindl or hanwag for example,
