Cameron's Leica D2 is exactly the same as the Panasonic LX1. There's an interesting review of the latter here:

Thaqnks Chris. I'd heard the high ISO wasn't good, but for use outdoors it looks pretty damn good.

It does look good, except for the lack of a viewfinder. The noise at high ISO appears solvable if you shoot in raw and then remove it during post processing.

I'm still tempted by the Ricoh GR Digital.

Went to newsagents yesterday and today - no TGO but surprise surprise he's an independent. WH Smiths in town have it, had it for a couple of days.

Please can the guys at TGO give WH Smiths a kick up bum - this behaviour is VERY common where WH Smiths are the local distributor as well as the biggest store.

I refuse to buy from WH Smiths as this very behaviour kills local business so I am still waiting for what looks like a brilliant edition to finally reach us here

PW, the ME stuffbags seem to stay inflated through the night, they behave very similarly to Thermorests.

Thanks for pointing them out Andy they look great and extremely versitile! They are a bit heavy but not really when you think you'd only need the 5 or 10 litre one as a pillow and it would also be a cracking stuff sac aswell and they do look strong!

I've been using these for a while. I bought a 50 litre one first, but this is way too big. It is handy, though, when camping from a car. I also use a 25 litre as a ruckack liner for much of the year.

These things are indestructible and completely waterproof.

For trekking you only need a small one to carry clothing and these inflate nice and comfortably. Use one in conjunction with a down jacket for maximum cozyness!
