Wasdale MRT Fundraiser This Weekend
Head for the Lakes, buy some cracking kit, sample real ale, have an all-round good time and all in a good cause. Yep, it's the annual Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team Grand Charity Auction.

Bob's walking / bimbling during the day on Saturday.

BTW it's our wedding anniversary on Sunday; we always seem to end up in Wasdale for it!

I've been planning for this for the last 5 weeks, yesterday I was reminded (pointedly) that it's our wedding anniversary on Sunday, too, so that's scuppered things completely. :-(
Hope you all have fun.

BG - doesn't she know that the most romantic way to spend an anniversary is in a tent with one's loved one?

JJ - we wouldn't want to keep you lot awake all night!
To answer your question, yes, she knows that. We've spent many a freezing Valentine's night on the Wasdale NT site. The anniversary of our engagement (Midsummer's night) is generally spent under the stars, too.
Congrats to the both of you for Sunday!

And to you!

We have a 'significant one' coming up in 3 years and I fancy something other than a tent for that one.....I've been dropping hints :)

Caravan?

I might make an appearance, actually. I am hatching a plan for a lightning quick (well, by my standards) attack on Pillar rock on Saturday. Will come and try and say hello if I'm around but may arrive late Friday night and leave again on Saturday.

Possibly going if not ballooning over the Yorkshire Dales. If I go the chances are I'll be wild camping though rather than try and fight with excessive traffic and hordes of people in Wasdale trying to find somewhere to camp.
