On Tuesday 27 December 2011 I headed for the Spittal of Glenmuick to climb the Corbett Conachcraig. The walk included the Corbett Top, Caisteal na Caillich and the Graham Top, An t-Sron. For some time now I've wanted to display my photographs in a slide show but my computer knowledge is limited. After many failed attempts I think I have got my brain round how to add a slide show to my trip reports so this is the first attempt at displaying them. I'm told that it may take several seconds to load but hopefully with some patience it will work for you. Slide Show. Slainte Lindsay

On Friday 30 December 2011 I headed for Glen Tanner and walked round some of the foothills on the boudary of the Cairngorm National Park. Photos in the form of a slide show will take a few seconds to load. Slainte Lindsay

On Sunday 1 January 2012 I headed to Braemar in Royal Deeside to climb the Graham, Creag Bhalg from Glen Quoich. There are a number of photos to view in the form of a slide show. They may take a few seconds to load so please be patient if you want to see them. Slainte Lindsay

On Sunday 15 January 2012 I climbed the Munros Carn an Tuirc and Cairn of Claise from Glen Clunie, south of Braemar, but firstly I took in the Corbett Top, Carn Dubh. The photographs I took are in the form of a slide show which apparently will take a few seconds to load. For those who read this trip report you will understand that this will be my last for several weeks while I receive further treatment and recover. Slainte Lindsay

Sorry to hear of your accident, a warning to us all as if it can happen to you with all your experience it could happen to any of us. It's lucky the ladies were passing and that it wasn't later in the day.Hope you have a speedy recovery.

I was going to say 'bad luck, Lindsay' but not altogether so - getting assistance from a couple of walkers and one being a GP was a stroke of good fortune after your accident. Hope time spent in hospital isn't too frustrating. Well done in getting your trip report posted - can't have been easy. We will have to satisfy ourselves with rereading the existing ones until you're back in the hills. Hope it's not too long. Very best wishes for a speedy and full recovery. A virtual basket of fruit is wafting your way

Thanks AR and MoS for the best wishes and the virtual basket of fruit. I was in the hospital but meantime at home awaiting a call to return as the fracture has 'popped out' apparently and needs to be pinned. Bit of a nuisance as recovery will have to start again delaying me getting back to the hills. Slainte Lindsay

Hard luck, Lindsay, though as the others have said, you had good luck too! Hope the injuries aren't too painful and that the healing and rehab isn't too long. Hope the pinning procedure goes well.
Thanks MK. Still waiting for the call to go back in. I did check with them this afternoon and the next few days appears to have been extended to hopefully this week. Quicker its done the sooner I can get back into the hills. Slainte Lindsay

Sorry to hear about your accident Lindsay. Hope the pinning procedure goes well and that you're back out and about soon. And a big thanks to the ladies who helped you off the hill, wherever they may be. I was going to put in a picture of a cake to build up your strength a bit, but OM seems to be struggling a bit, it won't let me. Hope you're mended soon.
That'll teach you to have a 'liquid' lunch. Here's for a speedy recovery.
Thanks, Flaff. I have the ladies' names and a contact number to thank them. Also to Mike. Maybe too much coffee, if anything. Slainte Lindsay

Best wishes for a quick recovery and return to the hills. Regards Norman

Thanks Norman I've had a scan, so the lack of movement in the hand and fingers is due to nerve damage which should improve in time. Going back into the hospital tomorrow to have the fracture pinned so hopefully the countdown starts then until I can get back onto the hills. Slainte Lindsay
