On Tuesday 10 April 2012 I took the bus from Inverness down Loch Ness side to Invermoriston and climbed the Sub 2000 Marilyn Burach. The descent was to Fort Augustus where I caught the bus back to Inverness. The above link takes you to my trip report where you can also view a slide show of the photographs taken on this walk. They may take a few seconds to load. Slainte Lindsay

It's a small world Lindsay. Just leaving the summit of Sgurr Mhic Bharraich (A Corbett ! ) on Tuesday and who should arrive but your friend Shona and her family. Quite a coincidence as there was nobody else around for miles ! She tells me you've been at a Corbett completion recently so looking forward to your comments here. Regards

I presume your now Corbett Bagging Norman after completing the Furths! Shona said she would be too busy working to go hill walking, so she's been caught out. Hopefully the Corbett Completion will be on-line later this week. Slainte Lindsay

Thanks Lindsay, always good to hear of your exploits. Shona was having a morning off from painting apparently, it was a good day to be out on the hills. Re Corbett bagging, I think realistically at my age (something8 this year) it's unlikely I'll get round them all, but picking off a few as and when I can ( 12 this year so far).

On Saturday 14 April 2012 I was invited to attend a friend's final Corbett, the remote Carn Ban climbed from Corriemulzie in the North Highlands. The above link will also give you access to the slide show taken from the photographs I took that day. There are some interesting views of the Munro, Seana Bhraigh. Slainte Lindsay

Excellent report Lindsay and good pics - takes me back to my Seana Braigh visit a few years ago. Didn't know about that bothy, in what is a really remote part of the country. Congrats to Frances, and hope she finds something else to do after completing the Corbetts.

Not much information on Google regarding Magoo's Bothy but I copied this bit: "I presume the track is a stalkers path that has been upgraded. Also the Bothy "Magoo's Bothy " was a home or cottage at the beginning of the 20th century so there will have been a track there for a long time.
Magoo's bothy was built by the RAF in memory of Mark Maguire know as Magoo who was killed in Kosovo 2001. The original bothy Coiremor is and I presumed maintained by the MBA." Slainte Lindsay

On Saturday 5 May 2012 I travelled from Inverness to Leckmelm, south of Ullapool with the intention of climbing a few hills before walking out to Ullapool. I started off with an ascent of the Graham Top, Meall Dubh North Top, followed by the Hump, Meall Cruaidh and finally the Sub 2000 Marilyn, Beinn Eilidreach. There are several photos to view in the form of a slide show, which will probably take several seconds to load. Slainte Lindsay

On Sunday 6 May 2012 I walked from Ullapool along the edge of the sea loch, Loch Broom, to Rhue Lighthouse and climbed the Hump, Meall Mor. The above link will give you access to a slide show which will take a few seconds to load as I took a number of photographs. Slainte Lindsay
