That's a really good picture, and I hope Marcus enjoys his socks.
It just struck me (and I don't have any photos to enter!) that you could maybe spread the socks around in future months? 3 for the winner, 2 for second place etc?
Think of the added excitement to all the competitors.
It'd take me years to wear out 5 pairs of socks.
:-)
Oh, and I just noticed the line at the end - "Bridgedale socks are ideal for enhancing your outdoor photographic experience".
Genius!

I suppose we could share the socks around - maybe one sock each for the top ten pics... that would give people an incentive to keep submitting better and better pics...
I suppose the nightmare scenario might be if Marcus won the August prize as well, then followed it up in September and ended up with 15 pairs of Bridgedale socks.

Er, when I said nightmare, I obviously meant 'dream' :-)
"nightmare" - LOL!
Imminent news: "We're sad to announce that Bridgedale have ceased their sponsorship of the OM Photo of the Month competition"
 Aye, it's a worthy winner.
One question - are all OM prize socks still in the size choice of extra-large or extra-large?
Definitely a worthy winner. I've noticed many very very good entries over the last two days too.
As I understand it, the socks will be knitted so as to correspond to the foot size of the winner. Why do you have loo roll draped across your snout btw?
It's the laser vision Mad Jim made for me. I don't think that he knitted it though.
 Congratulations Marcus...
...and good luck with the August competition. A 'nightmare scenario' if you win again?! Now that sounds like a challenge!
 We'll done Marcus.
Wear your socks with pride.
Did i really say that;o)
Right, I need to win this month, I just let my girlfriend wear my Bridgedale light hikers home. I won't see them for months now and they will be covered in dog hair from her house.

Hello there! I received the exciting news by text message whilst I was at Boca Sud in the Pyrenees last week. It was p-ing down with rain at the time and a doom-laden Frenchman had just informed me that bad weather would last two days, scuppering our plans to get up Pico d'Aneto.
Thanks to OM and Bridgedale though, things improved within a few hours: the rain eased off, we had a lovely plate of sausages at Renclusa, and a superb sunny day for the climb on Friday.
Thanks to everyone who voted for the picture - if you knew what ecstasies new socks inspire in me you'd realise just how pleased I am!!
woooooo, well done marcus, hope you had a good trip!
:o)
'twas fabulous, and great fun thanks Dinky - I'll be sticking a few photos up over the coming week.
It was a pity Bridgedale couldn't have helicoptered a pair into the Renclusa as I was seriously in need of new socks at the time!
