Was having a look around Cotswold and espied this little beauty. It's got a spoon at one end and a fork with a serrated edge on the other. Weighs 9gms, is made out of some heat resistant plastic and only cost £2. Bargain! Available in 5 colours. Knife/fork/spoon all in one. Ingenious.

99p in some surplus store in the lakes. However it did melt easily, become sharp, turning it into an effective way to remove skin from tongue....

Apparently i scare my team mates on night exercises anyway, so the spork may be an improvement...

So, if you need to use fork and spoon at the same time (or knife and fork, or spoon and knife) what do you do?

Saw these last weekend and really couldn't see the point.
If you're THAT bothered about weight, use disposable plastic cutlery.

How much weight are you saving? 50g? Less? Thats 50 mils of water.........

You've missed the point Si. It was shiny (?) new kit!! :-)

Anyway, how do you use a fork and a spoon at the same time??

Can never see the point of Sporks, they're not good functioning as either a fork or a spoon.
I'm just weighing out my gear for the GR20, my lexan fork weighs 5g, and spoon 6g. Total 11g, so I don't really see the weight saving. The titanium sporks must be one of the biggest rip offs going.

Even at a fiver, while perhaps not a rip off, you could still get a lexan fork and spoon for less, that weigh less and do the job better.

"So, if you need to use fork and spoon at the same time (or knife and fork, or spoon and knife) what do you do?"

Get two!!! Then you can use both, use the knife on your left hand and the fork on your right. And at £1.99 and 9g each theres no point in not getting two?

i love my snow peak *Titanium* spork, its the only utensil you ever need! now if thats not shiny then i dont know what is!

It does work as a fork and a spoon effectively!

or maybe a lexan kfs set nice and light too. but not as much novelty value and admiring glances! :)
