 There is a strong indication here that finally Weird Darren is finally weakening and is covertly probing the idea of being initiated into buff wearing membership.
Now then a Weird Darren buff, a Weird Darren T shirt, what else is the lad going to want for Christmas. Oh and there is the Christmas OM meet when everyone will sporting WD regalia.

Ah Jonno, a buff, a very handy and versatile piece of clothing. It can serve as a head covering, scarf, neck warmer. The way it can be worn is extremely varied, as are the varieties, it can come in polar fleece or ordinary material, patterns and designs are many. The trouble is, for some reason that Darren's councilor has not yet discovered, Weird Darren has an extreme phobia about buffs. He has at last admitted this strange phobia. This at least means that now, when Weird Darren is on a meet and starts growling or throws a wobbly we now know that this is due to his phobia. Normally, when we have induced him to take his medicine he returns to some level of normality. We are a tolerant lot on OM are we not?

 WD have you ever considered that the "secret society of buffs"(sSOB's) extends well beyond the actual buff wearers you see. And that you may indeed be a "sleeper Buffer" whose mission is in a few years to come (unbeknown to you of course)to start a movement known as the "Buffs United Militia"(BUM's) and try to convert the masses.

 Yesterday as I purchased my last bit of outdoor clothing (pants)to complete my high performance wicking outfit I still felt incomplete.
Upon leaving the office at dinner time I stumbled into the nearest outdoor shop I could find ... and BEHOLD ... there it was ... a plain black BUFF, more commonly known as a stealth buff.
Darren, I too held buffs in disdain, but one day my friend you will learn to use your anger and hatred and join us on the dark side.
