After enjoying the last couple of issues & having seen the above offer I am tempted to become a subscriber. As well as a huge saving it saves me trying to get one from WHS or Borders before they sell out.

There doesn't seem to be a club discount offered for the new digital version - it's showing at £30 per year. I can't get through to TGO subscriptions (possibly closed til new year) to query - has anyone recieved a club discount on the digital version?

I've asked for a trial version a while back but not recieved anything. Has anyone tried it & if so what's it like? I'd also be interested to know what file format it is, size etc. Is it possible to extract sections to archive & delete what you don't want to keep?

I have the standard discount subscription via BMC / YHA etc. When the digital version launched I enquired about a digital or combined discount subcription and was basically told 'nothing doing'!!
It seemed daft to me - pay as much again to receive the same content via a different distribution medium - but that's how it stands.

Btw I also requested the trial copy but never got anything and gave up chasing it in the end....
I understand it's delivered via Zinio so you need their reader software installed - don't know any more than that I'm afraid.

I think I'll just go for the discount paper version. I keep meaning to pdf the bits I want to keep but never get around to it. I can feel a new years resolution coming on!

I did a quick google on Zinio - looks like it may be convertable to pdf but doesn't look like the sort of hassle I'm after. I don't really want to keep a full electronic version anymore than I would the paper one. Zinio is also not Linux compatable & I'm currenly dual booting to Ubuntu with a view to dumping Windoze in the future so that's another obstacle to going down this route!
