2 OM members, identified as Steve D, and Cara Reynolds have been injured in an accident in the Sierra del Gredos mountains on the annual OM Spain Meet. Steve was evacuated by the Civil Guard with suspected broken legs late on Sunday. It's now been confirmed that Steve has suffered a broken leg/ankle and wrist and Cara is battered and bruised.

No doubt further details will emerge once the group return home on Sunday, although Steve is being flown home today (thursday).

Latest reports from direct communication with the group would indicate that the pair fell from a ridge on Almanzor and faced a 9 hour walk to get a phone signal that enabled them to call out the Civil Guard MRT. No doubt we'll get a full report when the team arrive home this Sunday, but best wishes to both for a speedy recovery.

Hope they get well soon. From Dave's description it sounds like it might have been a bit of an epic.

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for both, and that their confidence isn't left too dented either.
