There are some pics of the new models linked to from the bottom of the review of the Pro Sticky Mids which is on the front of the site at the moment.

Reading a previous thread, somebody wanted to know who stocks Montrail. Try www.upandunder.co.uk

 Jeannie
I stock Montrail should you want any just drop me a mail!
|
 |
Guy - in size 3-4 though???
|
 |
the Uk distributer for Montrail is Lyon equipment I've spoken to them just and they say that the womens range starts at a size 4, and that they are a widish sit so are a big 4. I thinks that means they are no good for you? and I checked and it is montrail who don't do below a 4 and not the distributer only bringing in a liited range. I am currently loking through all my suppliers to find out who does boots in your dainty foot size! I will be back...................

OK LOWA starts at a UK 3 and have a full range of really nice Gortex and Leather boots. Have a look at their web site.
Scarpa start at Europe 36 which is UK size 3.5 and again I can get all of their kit
Zamberlan starts at 36 again
also I hear that Startrite do a great range of Back to School shoes in your size :)
<I'll get my coat>

I can get it for you if you like, where did you leave it? Oh, also mate, apologies for forgetting your weather link on Friday, it will be in this week. I was having minor back end server problems... Ho hum.
|
 |
 No worries Jon.
oh and I think you may be able to get help with your "minor back end server problems" in that magazine Dan's looking for, perhaps he'll lend it to you for a bit :)
< I was getting my coat wasn't I >

Guy - according to Montrail themselves they start at 35.5 which is deffo a three!
And it's not whether they are widish as I have a relatively wide forefoot so e.g. Zamberlans are too narrow...it's the length, baby, size matters! So, are they a long 4 or a short 4? I am deffo a 4 in Salomon Exit Mids and Scarpa SLs.
|
 |
Ah well you may well find you have o getr them from an overseas shop becouse Lyon equipment only import from a 4.
If 4 is ok then I will have no probs getting them for youy should you have trouble trtacking them down.

I've got a pair of Merrell Reflex Mid booties and I'd buy another pair tomorrow. They are sooooo comfy! I have quite wide feet and a high arch and they fit perfectly. Don't how much battering they would take though but are great for a bit of a ramble. I've always found Crispi boots to be an excellent fit and also light.Crispi now make Tisos boots for them if you can't get your hands on a pair of Crispis.Hope this helps. P.S. My other half likes my Merrels so much he wants a pair too!!!

Can I make another suggestion, from a manufacturer that is huge in the States but rarely seems to get a mention over here, and that is the Vasque Catalyst XCR's...
http://www.snowandrock.com/shop%5Cactivity%5Chiking%5Cfootwear%5Cshoes/products/MVQAN.htm
I use them for warmer weather and easier routes and find them to be excellent and extremely comfortable.

Another vote here for montrails, my girlfriend and myself have both got the Java GTX approach shoes - they were comfortable straight from the box (walked 12 miles in them first day), and also have a semi stiffened midsole which helps for scrambling. I dont know if they are still available, if not I'm assuming they do a replacement model? Ive seen them in sales for £40 recently.
