Haglofs kit is wonderful. I've had their Climber 50 Rucksack for a couple of years now and weoldn't swop it for anything else. The same applies to my Haglofs softshell - Arcteryx quality (and almost price)and as good drinking Guinness in ireland as on the hill (see my avatar lol)

I just got myself a Haglofs jacket curry/mustard HELI II Q JACKET. As i never brought from them before and like you said should never buy before you try can't wait to get mine also there sending it next day as well. The only down side to the company was that they can't give you the price over the phone as i found out as i went into my local outdoor shop to look at some of the waterproof jacket's and. As everything was down in the shop and had to pay cash (which was'st a problem). Only that i need to go to the bank to get the cash once i found the two jackets that i like which were round (£250/£300). Pounds so i asked the guy in the shop to phone the two jackets company which both had the jackets in that i whated but as i was unsure to pick one. Like i said it was down too two jacket the Marmot Women's Skylight Jacket and the haglofs heli 2 jacket and the guy in the shop could not get though on the phone so i decided to phone them i ask the questions that i needed to ask and than ask the question on price. He said am not allowed to give out that information. WHY. I explain that the shop as been trying to get though but could'nt and there system was down so i needed to go to the bank he had to phone the shop up who than phoned me talk about going all round the houses over the price. I did decided on the haglof jacket so can't wait to try it out

 Hi Jillian,
Thanks for choosing the Heli, I hope you like it. That sounds really strange as we should have given you the RRP. Any idea who you spoke to?

Gus have you any idea when the spitz jacket is due to hit the shops??
|
 |
Not sure who i spoke to but in the end i got the best womans jacket there is out there. As they did'nt have the size so they sent two jackets over heli ii q in size 10 which was rather big and the helium q jacket size 8 which was just the right size. I must stress that they are really good my jacket got lost in the post so i could'nt use on my hike but they did offer to send a hire jacket to my destiantion which i thought was really good of them. Also i got the better end of the deal and happy love it everyone in the shop wanted to see and as i was away when they got i said they could look at it.

Diddy; Spitz will hit the shops early September, not a huge number of retailers stocking it and as Haglofs pretty much make to order there won't be many about! It is a really nice piece and the new Gore-tex 3layer ProShell fabric is fantastic.
Jillian, glad you got it sorted, we had a few nightmares with lost parcels this year and it always happens when someone is going on holiday! Heliums a great jacket - Lochaber MRT chose them last year with the matching pant.
Just back from visiting the Aviemore stores - 18c and blue skies!
Have a good weekend all, Gus

Cheers Gus, my local berghaus retailer (www.fellandmountain.co.uk)luckily does stock Haglofs gear and i have already placed my order about six weeks ago so there shouldnt be a problem there but i did check about two days ago if he was still ordering it for me but no reply as yet. thanks for the reply and i what a shame Haglofs only make to order, that means that i will have a rare jacket on the hills and that just makes it that little bit more special, and wont see any CHAVS on street corners wearing one for a while then i hope LOL...
if i mailed you my upper body measurments would you poss be able to tell me what size i should have gone for??

Yeah, fire them over and I'll check and give you a rough idea on size. Spitz is in our "technical" fit so quite an athletic cut - blasted Swedes don't have beer guts as it's so expensive!
When they get a product that works they leave it alone - eg Helium jkt has been there for 5+ years, one of the reasons I like working with them - they don't change for changes sake. A nice Scandinavian way of thinking.
