Cheers Jon for publishing this article, several of the team will also be there for the launch.
I of course need no excuse to drink beer and will hope to see some of you like minded reprobates there.

I don't drink... but mountain rescue need not fear for their funding. Tomorrow night a few of us are having a meal in exchange for a donation to mountain rescue, and someone from the mountain rescue is going to give us an illustrated talk.
Good luck with your own bash Judith!

Can you bring some samples with you this weekend Judith :-))
Sorry Frank, the beer won't be available until the launch in July
How do you launch a beer? Do you crash a ship into a bottle of it?
"May god bless this beer, and all who get pissed on it..."
Sounds like a good idea to me Kate;-) Then again getting a Ship into Sheffield might be somewhat difficult given it's distance from the sea, would a team landrover do instead?
 That sounds perfect!
Is it bad luck if the Landrover doesn't break?
There's a nice canal basin right in the middle of Sheffield. Maybe we could use a narrowboat ?
JB: That explains why Landies are so lucky...
Judith, drop me an reminder closer to the launch and we'll run - doh - a memory jogger - I'm more than happy to 'review' the Salvation for you - he said, selflessly :-)

 <Bumpety Bumpety Bump>
Just a thought but the weekend starting Friday the 13th could be a good weekend for a peaks meet. There is the cliffhanger event in Sheffield and the beer festival.
Judith, I can't see how getting a ship into sheffield would be such a problem given the recent weather ;-)

Yep last week there were boats galore just down the road from me, fortunately the water levels have now receded and the roads are once more inhabited by more normal forms of transport.
You could always Build a ship from Sheffields mighty Steel industry or is that slowly dissapearing overseas too(no pun)!!
just curious!
A further reminder for those autograph hunters among you, the festival is being launched by Joe Simpson.

An update for those of you local to the area who may still be undecided on whether to attend.
The festival launched last night, and the Salvation Beer brewed in aim of the team was the first beer to sell out last night. Fortunately, for those still hoping for a taste, they have plenty more barrels with a new one going on this afternoon.
They also have approximately 50 other real ales for you to try, so well worth a visit.
