Why...not...kill...them...all....................Exterminate!!!

Is that Bob in there? It has his hair ;-)

When I was about 15 I came across some really detailed plans for building a Dalek, published by no less an authority than the BBC!
Plans for a real dalek, Paddy? That really exterminated people? I want one - it would be so useful at work!
Well... the plans were for a Dalek as you would have seen on the set of Dr Who!
(The rest is up to your imagination)
Daleks are real, they move around and exterminate people. I've seen it on television, so it must be true.
Incidentally, as you may have noticed, now when you start a thread about a gallery image, it appears full size at the top of the page, which is much better than the old thumbnail, I think.
I don't know if it carries over onto the second page of the thread though.

I noticed that Jon, looks much better.
It's kind of bizarre that the first time it's happened, it's a picture of a Dalek for heaven's sake... It's not even outdoors either.
How do you know it's not outdoors, Jon? Daleks are not confined to Earth. It might be the outdoors, but not as we know it.
You can tell because it's smiling, inwardly - Daleks hate being outdoors, the smile is a giveaway...
The dalek's owner says he is smiling (and she should know). But that's because he's happy - being on a mountain-top on Skaro. So unless Skaro's a completely indoors planet, he must be outdoors.

Daleks hate being outdoors, the smile is a giveaway...
So all those people you see outdoors grinning a lot are actually having a crap time then? And wish they were sat on the sofa eating crisps? Actually, hang on ....
How many Daleks have you actually seen on the hill? Statistically Daleks are massively under-represented in the UK outdoor population. Unlike cats which make far better pets and can also race mountain bikes when needed.
Statistically Daleks are massively under-represented in the UK outdoor population.
er... doesn't that depend on the UK Dalek population? Do you know what the UK Dalek population is? And how many Daleks take part in outdoor activities in the UK? Until I see those statistics, I'm not willing to accept your statement. I want proof!!!
And how do you know cats make far better pets than Daleks? I bet Daleks don't squash as horribly as the one I saw on the road this morning :-(
I'm off cats at present; the house we bought had been empty for months but the cat flap was unlocked.
Every blessed mogie for miles around has left it's mark.
Pass the Dalek, there's some exterminating to be done ;o)

Project Aims To Get Alien Minorities Outdoors
'Our open spaces should not be the preserve of just the Gore-Tex-clad, Volvo-driving middle classes,' says an article in this week's Skylab Society section examining initiatives to encourage more alien minorities into the outdoors.
The piece looks at efforts to encourage more non-human faces out into our national parks and in particular focuses on the Inter-planetary Project, which aims to bring urban and rural communities closer together and in the process raise awareness of national parks among minority alien groups.
If you get into the hills regularly you can't help but have been struck by the glaring lack of alien faces outside of the odd school group. We reckon it's a fantastic idea and long overdue.
;oPP

It's a late '60s Dalek I see, the comination of vertical slats and blue balls is a dead give away.
Ahem.

And how do you know cats make far better pets than Daleks? I bet Daleks don't squash as horribly as the one I saw on the road this morning :-( Experience All he asks for is the odd battery and the chance to blast around on bikes a few times a year. What Dalek can do that? Daleks are renowned for being troublesome pets, what with their obsessive desire to rule the universe and exterminate other life forms. That might be your idea of an ideal pet, but it certainly isn't mine.

Daleks in the UK, erm, several. Daleks sighted climbing or walking, nil. Conclusion: Daleks under-represented.
