I still got a ultimate Equipment Mountain King sleeping bag, Hobo fan and animal, peapod tents all of which are still in use. The Sleeping bag the kids use for ther scout camps.

I have an Ulimate Equipment, hollow fill jacket and body warmer which i still use today.

What happened to Snowdon moldings, and is wild country, and robert saunders tents still about,  use to have a spacepacker plus .

Snowdon Mouldings was owned by Mo Anthoine, who sadly died quite young from something like a brain tumour. Can't remember what happened to the company, but I think it was taken over.

Robert Saunders still exists, but I think only make tents to special order. Wild Country is still a big brand, but the original owner Mark Vallance suffers from Parkinsons disease,so I think he is less involved in the company now.

I'm not completely sure but I think that Wild Country split up into different divisions for climbing hardware and tents/other "software".  The latter motphed into Terra Nova which eventually brought back WC as a brand that's cheaper and a bit less "technical" than the TN stuff.

I don't know what the relationship between TN/WC and the climbing gear arm is, but both are going strong.

Pete.

Not exactly an outdoor brand... but I do have fond memories of lots of funny walking/climbing postcards by Ivan Cumberpatch. I've just done a quick search online and found several examples of his cartoons, but none of the postcards. An example of Ivan's artwork can be seen on the book cover above. You need to have some inner knowledge of the climbing game to 'get' it... but it seems that a 'competition' climb is taking place, hence the umpire looking on!
