BELT LOOPS!
Does anyone make any with belt loops or braces? If so can you recommend them?

Possibly some heavy duty patagonia winter ones. No light weight stuff I can think of.

Helly Hansen have made some lightweight full side-zip over-trousers with detachable braces and some heavy weight full side-zip over trousers with belt loops (old model = Cowlitz). I have a pair of each for different uses. Both pretty good garments, especially the lightweight ones.

Pretty breathable for a proprietary membrane (Helly Tech XP/10/Extreme depending on vintage)

Try their outlet store in Bicester Village. I picked up each of mine for less than £30 each pair.

In their current line they do these:

Hybrid Pants

Verglas Bib Pants

And they often stock the Verglas standard pants and jackets (reviewed here) in the outlet store mentioned above.

Just use a pair of cheapo braces from a market stall or men's clothing shop on standard OTs. It's worked for me in the past.

If you have a pair of overtrousers already then you could updgrade them with braces.

I have a pair of Marmot PreCip full zip overtrousers. I got completely fed up of pulling them up what seemed like every 50m. So I called the shop then distributor and they sent me a set of sew-on velcro tabs and some braces from a damaged pair of higer-spec overtrousers. It was free too. Result!

Perhaps you could do the same?

If you do decide to go to Helly's outlet, look for these from last year, with belt loops.
