Hello. I am planning to attempt the Mont Blanc circuit this summer. Though I wonder if there is a left luggage facility in Chamonix? When I was last there, my friend just hid stuff in a bush with a label asking people not to touch it if found.
I don`t really want to risk the same. And it would be nice to know before, so I could carry a few extra items with me. Otherwise I will be wearing the same clothes for weeks!
Actually, last time the Campsite I stayed did not do it. And I seem to remember the train station charged a fortune for the left luggage. Especially if you trek for 2 weeks wild camping on a budget.
On google there seem to be no information on specific prices.
So its a bit of a dilema.
Otherwise it could be another bush and a black bin liner!
Still...as the saying goes...you get what you pay for!
was there last summer and there's a campsite out of the centre that had a cellar where you could leave stuff at a really cheap rate. All i can remember is that you go past a pizza place and then a small shopping precinct (with a really good gear shop selling lots of mammut stuff) to get to it; about a ten minute walk from town centre
Hi, We are travelling to Mont Blanc in a few days and will be walking for about 2 weeks. I would like to know if there is a luggage storage facility where we can safely leave a few valuables and some excess stuff. I have been doing some searching but I have not been able to get a definate answer.
I was in Chamonix 2 years ago. And we left our stuff at the two different campsites we stayed at. Prices varied from 3 euro a day to 1 euro a day. However, both were safe...so no worries there. I cannot remember the names of the campsites.
