Last Call For Ultrafleece...
If you want a Mountain Equipment Ultrafleece Mountain Jacket you'd best get one before September as they won't be around after then. Plus coming soon ME's next winter kits scoop

...but if you think so, you don't have to read this, and you can sod-off!

Anyway,

The basic Ultrafleece jacket costs about £40 with the Mountain Jacket version at £90. A G2 jacket is £170...

Sliding sales, my arse! ME just want to remove the just-as-effective-but-far-less-profitable Ultrafleece to boost their G2 sales, I bet!

I don't! I was being ironic. Or something.

Seriously, I think ME are pulling a fast one here.

How can ME pull a fast one?

Surely they have a business to run and can sell whatever they like?......

Since trying (and then buying) N2S/Windstopper/soft-shell stuff I cannot see why anyone would ever want to buy any fleecy stuff that allows the wind to whistle through it. Fleece...waste of time.

Yeah, but Ultrafleece is highly wind-resistant. I used to own one and it was good. I still use a Lowe Apline Wind Pro which is excellent.

Don't forget that both Ultrafleece and Wind Pro are far more breathable than even new stuff like N2S.

Mark - so, you're in favour of reduced choice and over-priced products???

I couldn't give a rats ass how wind RESISTANT it is. I want it windPROOF.

Like I said, the wind-resistant (effectively windproof) stuff is more breathable than N2S ever can be - it's hard to over-heat in a Ultrafleece jacket, but very easy in a close-fitting N2S jacket. I'd rather keep 'just' 90% of the wind out and not become a sweaty-betty!

Oh and Alex, is ME manufacturing equipment exclusively for you? Might not other people want the choice of other products?

To be honest Dan. I really don't care. I know what I want and I am happy with that.

If you want it go and tell them. Don't just whine about it on here.

I was answering your question. I care a lot. But not about Ultrafleece.

I am tempted to turn the question around and ask you the same thing...but I won't.

I am sick of petty personal squabbles on the forum and I am not about to lower myself to your low trolling level.

Either actually go out and buy some of the gear that you talk about or shut up.

No, of course I'm not happy that you're pissed off Alex. That's not my aim.

It's just beyond belief how controlling people want to be around here. What on earth is wrong about asking for advice about equipment before buying it? I don't think I'm the first person to do that!

Tony. My dad was a giant from Gianttown.
