Starting out?

Not tried the pants but the Claw jacket is good value. It's very close fitting and you won't get much under it but being inherently warm a baselayer or two would suffice.

I initially larfed at the clear peak but have found it really useful, keeps the rain off my glasses and really helps maintain peripheral vision when head down into a gale.

yes, the clear peak works, the hood stows nicely, you can vent to your heart's content and it's a nice slim -ish fit.  the sleeves do loosen up , so give it a little while to 'bed in'.

 Huge pockets.

 The pull-tags on the pockets are a bit  too string-like....but they work.

 I'd would like to have the pit-zips double-ended..
