That's interesting, it's a nice looking bag in the photie. The Macpac waterproof bags are heavy and a bit short on fill, the Exped ones are expensive and hard to get a hold of.

I see it's got vertical baffles over the chest and a double zip baffle which is good to see. I wonder how the "keep eVent clean!" warning will affect the bags. I've had an eVent bivy from Big Agnes on long term test and that's one of the things that's been on mind, potentially higher frequency maintenance.

Having had a bit of a feel of the sample, I'd say that they are going to sell sell sell! That is to those with money money money...

I slightly wish I'd made Carol an offer on the sales sample, but the wife would have probably found a way to smother me to death with it if I come home with 'yet another sleeping bag'!

Any word on how much these bags will weigh?  If they're anything like as good as Crux's other kit, I may be waving good bye to my trusty old Marmot imminently...

I don't have weights, will try to get some for you. As far as cleaning goes, I'd be using the Grangers spray-on / wipe-off down cleaner, but trying to keep the bag clean anyway.

Jon, weights are as follows:

Torpedo 500, 1130g

Torpedo 700, 1390g

Torpedo 900, 1600g

Carol has changed eVent face fabrics at a late stage to a better version, so we'll get one to you as soon as possible - only one correct version exists at present!

Clive, for Crux

Or you could buy an e-vent bivvy from Integral Designs (505g) for around £100 and use any bag in it.
