No but when i read it i realised that it was the exact spot where i did my winter skills course,so thought it relevant..

I am one of David Rainey's cousins. Living in Paris I soon learnt of his tragic and very unexpected death.

Curiosity in where he spent his last moments brought me to this site. My thoughts go out to his parents, wife and 4 year old daughter, and David's friends whom if reading this, my thanks to you for all your efforts.

Woman dies after Torridon fall

The mountains seem to have claimed several in the past few days

Unfortunately its never far away - at the beginning of feb I felt very vulnerable crossing an ice field with a nasty drop awaiting.........

My son attends the same school as David's daughter. It's a great shame that David's family now have to face the future without him rest in peace and may the family have the strengh to come to terms with this tragic accident.
