Reminds me of Mary Woodbridge and Daisy. I wonder if they ever made it up Everest?

Er, vid says he's on Dartmoor. That's Exmoor - Valley of the Rocks.

Crap video. Silly presenter. I'd like to have thought that Ranulph Fiennes would have been above this sort of nonsense. Clearly not

He will be making a personal appearance for Cotswold Outdoors in the South East too soon, if anyone is interested?

Sorry, I appear to be going raving mad here! I was thinking of Chris Bonnington 24th April at the Tunbridge Wells store apparently actually!

They have Graham Thompson, the Technical Editor of Trail magazine, doing a personal appearance at one of their London stores too! 10th April Covent Garden store. Now, I wonder if people will line up to get their copies of Trail autograped at all by him?

Poor Ran having to submit to such indignity.  And who was that woman?????

He should have worn her flowery hat instead and it would have drawn more attention to the charity he is promoting!!!!

Seriously, we all I am sure wish him all the very best in his second attempt on Everest, especially with a faulty ticker, the guy has guts!  Also the charity he is promoting is a noble one.  Anyone who has had a friend or loved one who has been fighting Cancer knows the worth of being able to call upon the services of care experts like the Marie Curie Cancer Care.

It is a shame that the attempt is held up by the Chinese government's bully boy tactics.

On that note, personally I feel the Olympics in China should be boycotted.  Peoples lives and futures are worth far more than a medal however long the athletes have been training.  Indeed I believe the Olympics are so tainted with politics and corruption that they should be scrapped, and a new world games event created to replace it, with much simpler facilities and less media hype. This would enable the ticket prices to be lowered so that ordinary people would be able to afford them.  Also politicians and so-called celebrities should be banned from attending.  That would be real sport, not the money factory that it is now.

Nah, he's obviously being paid by Blacks, big brother to the swanky Millets. I like the fact he's been using Blacks for 30yrs on expeditiions....

I dunno about you lot but I can never find a peter Storm pacamac when I want one due to all the one piece down suits, pulling sledges cluttering up the shop! I recon he goes thier for hand warms and looking at the state of his I wont be!
