How bizarre, I have just come home from walking this exact route (as I had a day off, and its nice and sunny outside)only to find it on this site.
All I can recommend to anyone (as I walk this area often) is to do a little research first, as this area also contains a mass of history, from pre historic, to Roman, and especially the second world war. During this exact route, you will pass directly, or very near to Roman settlements, and lead mines, Victorian lead works, cold war telemetry transmitters, ww2 anti aircraft rocket battery site, a decoy site of Bristol (to mis-lead German aircraft)Not to mention the feral goats which roam the area (approx 50 of them) and the wild strawberries that grow in abundance here ( I had my first one of the year yesterday)

Hi Denis. We were lucky with the weather this weekend wern't we.

I spent most of the bank holiday camped just down from Blackdown, and it only rained once, and that was during the night.
