'The Milky Bar Kid is strong and tough........"
I bet all of the Windy thread folks used to eat a lot of Milky Bars when they were kids then, for sure!

Trevor, for all us 'newbies', who are the Windy thread folks?
They are that band of OM Heroes set apart in perpetuity of the mists of time! Folks that enjoy a chat of total and utter blox as much as tent and stoves talk! They can be found in their magical ancestral OM forum home upon the 'Windy Meet' thread, one of the most long running and too successful and fun OM forum threads in the history of the site! They are a band of grand folks that like nothing more than adventurous wild camping trips out in rather high windy mountain spots of the UK, and so hence their name 'The Windy Boys'. They're all mad completely you know, but I like them. You can drop in and chat to them any time on their thread here on the forum you know too! And just like Tony Tiger says too, "They're great!"

a more accurate description. the windy thread folk are those who talk total and utter blx nearly all of the time and then astound us all, and themselves, by having a sensible, interesting discussion about something. if you blink you will probably miss it though and have to wade through 10 pages of rubbish before realising that whilst you've been doing that 5 more pages have been added. you will learn more about the contributors on here from that thread than anywhere else, especially perversions, favourite tipples (including meths with a harpic chaser), what to do with a tent peg, what colour tent you should buy and are the nolans better than kylie.

Don't remind me, I'm about twelve pages of that stuff still to wade through to catch up there!
Hey though, Kylie's history, don't ya know! It's all Cindy Crawford with Ian nowadays!

Well, anyways, I've caught up now on the Windy thread, only to find I didn't miss anything at all that really helped me! And I had to wade through eighteen pages in the end too there, to get back to where I'd left off before!
Last thing I can recall on there of useful sense to me was the Brunton remote canister device thingy that Ed bought. Not a total waste of money, as the windshield with it is ok!

Trevor. Kylie will never be history to me (even if I do fancy her sister), I met kylie while walking through Cheddar Gorge many years ago. She is even more lovely in the fresh than on TV. Jason was also tagging along, and he seemed nice enough too I guess.....But not in that kind of way of course As for my top ten, I still cannot think of any one item I ALWAYS carry with me. The closest I get are my house keys, and I do not always even carry them.
