Deservedly popular grade one route up the only island Munro not on Skye.

Having just done this one I don't know how it can be classed as a grade 1 scramble.

The only scrambling we had to do was on Beinn Fhada and that was purely by choice

I did some scrambling here Frank- I was trying to contour A Chioch at the time and fecked it up! There is some bouldery stuff on the crest though if you want it - the dog loved it.

I do have a soft spot for this one - it was the last munro for me, and I would imagine for quite a few others as well.

Have to agree with Frank in a way having done this walk. ( since the sheep noise maker incident always said I would never agree with Frank ) The scrambling is more of a choice, though if you go off the crest either way on A Chioch it does get very very steep!

I have done Ben More on several occasions via A'Chioch and never had any problems. Maybe that's because everytime, except one, there has been no visibility. The occasion there was a view I had made a direct approach onto Ben More.
