.jpg) The British Army, groups of young men, in co-ordinated outfits, going off into the hills to shoot their weapons. Sounds highly suspicious to me.

Bet it's smaller, MD, and is more useful, but I got sad with my mini-lantern and added some colour to it:
I need to get out more
Looks good Duncan, but it's huge and must weigh a ton,
I'm surprised you haven't had a visit from the Scottish SUL Police

Avon Skin So Soft - stops the midges. Not in my experience it doesn't

Ditto. I moved back to Jungle Juice (with DEET, sadly). This season I'm trying Agropharm's spray, and keeping the head-net in the belt-pocket too. When I get out finally.

Luxury - Crocs or Holey slip-ons (around the fire?) - bliss, after boots after a hot day.

Flip flops are lighter and cheaper and take up less space. Down boots are warmer and squash down to nowt in your sac.

I'll second the down booties. Perfect for cold bothies and tents. I bought Feathered Friends booties from the US. They have an outer shell that can be used on it's own. The extra warmth in a sleeping bag is unbelievable. Worth every penny.

.jpg) Captain Paranoia wrote, .....small recycled bottles for storing all sorts of things I use plastic peanut butter jars, generally the 12oz, 340g size, just tried to weigh an empty one, may be that my scales are rubbish but I think it is 10-15g. Watertight and solid enough.

.jpg) Other people, I think Parky again, on other threads have mentioned stuff sacks to keep things grouped and easy to find. I often roll things up and put rubber bands round them, I find this helps too. Take a couple of cable ties of varying lengths, lightweight, strong and multiple uses.
