£180 for a pair of boots that are made in china, and if they are anything like their shoes wont last long either ..... Lets hope for the environment sake they last alot long than their shoes!
Is funny how they "claim" on their web site :-
"The environment matters to inov-8"
It really is laughable the steps they say they take to be "green" Yet how can that be when the soles wear down so easily?
<scratches head> Why did it put this message in Walking and climbing and not gear?
I had the same problem Colin. I went down a size with the 390s compared to my Terrocs and 315s, but they still feel voluminous. I've fiddled around and got the fit sorted for comfort, but I don't find them very supportive on rough ground. Fortunately I'm not tempted by the 370s because I don't see the point of a non-waterproof mid, might as well have a shoe.
Interestingly though, ptc*, on his blog, had issues with the 390's fit but finds the 370s very good, work that one out!
Doh, sorry, should be £80, now changed. Apologies for any confusion.
Fit is a personal thing, but the 370 and 390 are based on Inov8's all-day endurance last.
I find the fit of the 390s and 370s similar, but the 370 is maybe slightly snugger. It does have a slimmer sole unit, so there may be construction differences.
Don't think £80 is so bad for these - I've just spent a few days in the Lakes with my Flyrocs and the only thing I didn't trust them for was Striding Edge. I'd feel happy giving that a shot in summer in the 370s though - nearly bought the 390s but put off by the Goretex as I like just walk / run through wet stuff and then dry out! Anyone done any long-distance backpacking or scrambling in the 370s / 390s yet?
