Could you please identify the GPX walks by also noting their reference number in the pre amble please ? I've downloaded a couple but can't, at first glance, find them, as I want to note the info given into my PDA..thanks.

ps I was looking for 100.gpx. ?

When you saved the gpx files, were you able to change the filename before hitting the 'save' button?

If you have a GPX file that you can't easily identify, load it into GoogleEarth or WheresThePath, and they will show where the route is. Then you can rename it to your heart's content.

Admittedly, it would be nice if OM routes were internally identified in some way (can't say I've ever looked).

the gpx number refers to the route's unique internal identifier number, which is displayed in the route page's URL

Name of the route quite clear in that GPX, isn't it, Dave?

From 100.gpx:

So the name corresponds exactly with the route name as given in the routes list. A route database search for 'Ill Crag' finds this route.

Which makes me wonder what the OP was actually asking for; re-reading the post, I'm not sure...

I suspect he's downloaded the GPS data but not saved the page and then forgotten what the route was called so doesn't know where to look. It would probably make sense to make routes searchable by their ID number too.

Fortunately I still have my own list of routes with their corresponding database number so could quickly check which one was number 100.
